Back in June I asked the author of that patch for inclusion of his fix in CipherShed and releasing the changes under a different license than TC v3. This was his reply:

Thank you for your message. If you have looked at my patch, you can see that my changes are very minimal. I just removed the code that prohibited the use of non-512 byte sectored drives under Mac OS X + fixed a multithreading race condition. That's all. If you find any use for it in your fork, please feel free to use it in any way that you wish. "I hereby release my patch to the public domain" (for what it's worth ;-)). I'll let you decide if you think it's worth including an attribution in the CHANGES file, but if you do, you can use my full name "Lennart Lövstrand". No big deal otherwise.
